When you are not doing Versor commands, an Emacs with Versor loaded looks pretty much like any other Emacs. Note, however, that there is the text <cartesian:chars> in the mode line, indicating that the cursor is currently set to move in cartesian coordinates (just like a normal cursor) and is zoomed in to the "chars" scale of movement.
